Scholarships for postgradutes
A NUMBER of scholarships will be offered by Britain, New Zealand and Nigeria under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan.
The scholarships are primarily available for postgraduate study or research and will cover approved expenses for travel, living and study during the tenure of the scholarship.
Candidates should be: Permanent residents of Hong Kong; Normally not older than 35 when the scholarship begins (the UK is, however, keen to encourage applications from older candidates who can prove their ability for advanced study or research); Graduates of recognised universities with at least upper second class honours degrees or the equivalent.
Candidates who are recommended for the awards must also satisfy certain language, health and immigration requirements.
Application forms and detailed information can be obtained from the Students Financial Assistance Agency, 9th floor, National Mutual Centre, 151 Gloucester Road or candidates can go to the Careers and Guidance Services Section of the Education Department, Room 206, Mongkok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, or the Public Enquiry Services Counters at all district offices.
