Far too expensive

EACH year, when students receive their booklist for the forthcoming school session, the first thing they notice, is the cost of the books.

Each year the books turn out to be more expensive than they were the year before.

When they add up the bill for all the books they will have to buy, it usually comes to more than $1,000. For parents who have more than one child at school, this can be a very heavy financial burden.

The Government should do something to lighten this financial load.

Financial support should be given in cases of need and measures should be introduced to try and control book prices.
