Hair
Taiwanese pop sensation Jay Chou Jie-lun's eye-covering hairstyle is cool, but pimples on the forehead are not. A fringe which covers the forehead will trap oil, sweat and dirt on the skin, and these will clot your pores and result in spots.
Keeping you hair short is the best way to stay clean and look good this summer. You can use various styling products with short hair, but whether you use traditional hair gel or the latest styling pomade, remember to rinse your hair thoroughly. Massage your scalp when you wash you hair as this can help squeeze out the oil and dirt trapped in your scalp.
Face
Your face gets more oily during summer, so it's crucial to wash your face. But don't use ordinary soap as the alkali will dry out your skin. Choose a face wash that suits your skin type and wash your face in the morning and before going to bed. Avoid using hot water when washing as it dehydrates the skin and makes it oilier.
Using a facial scrub once or twice a week helps get rid of the dead skin cells that clot the pores. Smooth skin also means a more even suntan. Massage the scrub lotion onto your face in a gentle circular motion. But don't press too hard, as this will hurt your delicate skin.
And don't forget your ears. The outer and back parts of your ears are often overlooked. Clean the outer part with a wet towel after washing your face. For better results, add a few drops of face wash to the towel.
