GUESS who we spotted prowling around the corridor of the Oriental Hotel, where Michael Jackson and his entourage are billeted? None other than Sam the Tailor, who is distinguished as much for his bespoke creations as he is for his ubiquity.
Apparently Sam and his measuring tape had an appointment with Jackson in Hong Kong. But Sam's had to come to Bangkok to fulfil it. He was seen with the pop star's wardrobe manager, Michael Bush, discussing some stage clothes for the rest of the tour.
Sam, we understand, will have to get the outfits made in his Kowloon workshop and deliver them personally to Jackson when he gets to Taiwan.
Surprise, surprise. It wasn't Jackson's Dangerous that was blasting at the stadium crowd as part of the concert but oldies from the Beatles.
But then, since Jackson owns the sole right to most of the Beatles' music he collects either way. Canny, eh?
