It was the 27th consecutive day of fewer than five new Sars cases in the city.

Meanwhile, a 79-year-old woman died from the disease after she was reportedly infected in Tuen Mun Hospital, bringing the total number of Sars casualties in Hong Kong to 291. She was admitted to the hospital on May 15.

The driver, a Sha Tin resident, came down with a fever on May 28. He was admitted to United Christian Hospital on June 3 and transferred to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital the next day.

His family members and another man who drives the same taxi have not shown any Sars symptoms.
