Red Babies

The Glass Menagerie

The Psychic Labyrinth Of Murnau

FW Murnau (1888-1931) is regarded as the master of light and shadows in film. Of the 21 films he made, 12 have survived. The Hong Kong Film Archive present this full retrospective on the highly influential German master of expressionist film-making. Bravely experimental, works such as Nosferatu, Faust and Tabu demonstrate the genius of this pioneer. The festival gets under way today with a screening of Sunrise, charting a young farmer's love for another woman and his attempts to kill his wife. 8pm.
