London and Pacific lift

LONDON and Pacific Insurance says profits increased by 41.2 per cent to M$3.1 million (about HK$9.42 million) for the six months to June 30 compared with $2.2 million for the same period in 1992.

Earnings per share were 15.8 cents compared with 11.2 cents. The company did not declare an interim dividend.

Turnover rose 52.2 per cent to $20.1 million.
