Hong Kong's comeback is your chance to kick back. Our resident bargain hunter shows you how to live large on little
We should be proud. After months of depressing news, Hong Kong has picked itself up with a self-administered spiritual pat on the back and an affirmation that it's a fabulous place. While in other places the blame-laying would have led to all manner of political upheaval, we have got on with what's important - spending money. But there's no need to max out the platinum card. In hard times, the special offers flow as freely as champagne in a boom. 'Amazing deal' are the words on everyone's lips. The Cafe Deco Group has launched a novel promotion. I am not a big fan of fiddly deals but this appeals to my cash-in-hand sensibilities. Eat at any of its outlets - Cafe Deco on the Peak, ONE Bar + Grill, Byte Bar + Cafe, Peak Cafe Bar, Noodlebar, EAT Pacific Place, EAT Cafe, EAT Noodles on the Peak and Coffeebar - and receive 10 Deco Dollars for every $100 spent, which can be used as cash on your next visit, until August 31.
