YAU KA-WEI

She's been bending it like Beckham since an early age and scored one of only two Hong Kong goals at the Asian Football Confederation Women's Championship in Bangkok. Despite her efforts, Hong Kong won only won of their matches - 1-0 against Singapore - although it was the team's first victory in the tournament since 1999. She is 25 years old.

Why football? I've been playing football since I was 13 years old. My brothers love football. They're all older than me, but growing up with them made me a good player. I also play basketball for Hong Kong.

What else are you good at? Nothing.

So what else do you do with your life? I work. I'm in property management. I work for the Henderson Land Development Group and it's a good job. You have to manage all the staff and control all the things on the estate. There are so many facilities and I can play sport.

A Game Boy or a good book? Game Boy - I play computer games sometimes, but my favourite game is mahjong.

Dim sum, sushi or burger? Sushi is delicious. There is so much choice with sushi. I don't eat burgers. They're too fattening.

You listen to Canto-pop. Who do you prefer, Andy Hui or Eason Chan? Andy Hui. He's a hard-working man and he has good songs.

What's the last movie you watched? It's such a long time ago. I haven't watched a movie in more than a year. I'm too busy with football and mahjong. I get DVDs instead. It's cheaper than going to the cinema.
