PHILIPS HONG KONG Universities Football League champions, City University (CityU), play Associacao Do Desporto Universitario de Macau in the first leg of the Philips-sponsored Macau Challenge Cup tomorrow.
The match, which will see a return leg in Hong Kong on July 12, was organised after the Philips Lighting International Sevens was cancelled due to Sars.
Hong Kong champions CityU had qualified to compete in the Sevens - an annual tournament that attracts top professional teams from around the world.
CityU team captain Terry Yau Man-hon said the replacement fixture was a good idea.
'It's a good opportunity for the students to play a Macau university team,' said Yau.
'It's exciting to travel and play as a team and we're grateful for it,' added the striker.
