19-year-old dies after game of basketball A 19-year-old youth died shortly after playing basketball with his friends on Tsing Yi island yesterday. Ng Hin-ming and his friends began playing basketball at a court in Cheung Hang Estate at 2pm. At 6pm he suddenly collapsed and his friends alerted a doctor from a nearby clinic who gave the unconscious youth emergency treatment before ambulance officers arrived. The youth was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital but he died shortly after arrival. Police said a post-mortem is expected to be performed to determine the cause of death. Fireworks set off outside kwai chung incense shop Fireworks placed in a plastic bucket exploded outside an incense-product shop in Kwai Chung. Emergency crews were called to Lai Yiu Street outside the Lai Yiu Estate shopping centre after a guard discovered smoke billowing out from the bucket. A man told officers that he saw two men running away after lighting the fireworks. Three hurt after car crashes into hillside A man and two women were in serious condition in hospital last night after their BMW crashed into a hillside and overturned in Tuen Mun. One of the two women, 24, was trapped in the front passenger seat and had to be freed by firemen when the car crashed in the New Territories-bound lane of Tuen Mun Road near Sham Tseng at 2.30am. She suffered multiple injuries and was taken unconscious to Yan Chai Hospital. A male driver, 24, and the other woman passenger, 28, also sustained serious injuries. Drunk driver arrested after hitting man A driver was arrested when his car hit a man in Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, shortly after the two argued when the car stopped at a red light outside Victoria Park at 3am. Police said the two had argued about the 40-year-old's driving style. The driver was arrested after failing a breathalyser test. The victim was treated for ankle injuries at Ruttonjee Hospital.
