Can't get enough kulcha? Get inspired by the artistic endeavour of others this weekend or simply immerse yourself in some history.

Look back: If you haven't visited the fabulous Hong Kong Story exhibition at the HK Museum of History (100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui. Tel: 2724 9042), shame on you. This is 7,000 sq ft of quality displays that trace our history from prehistoric times to the modern day. World class and gripping for all ages.

Naked ambition: It's always good to support up-and-coming talent, particularly when it's as worthy as John McArthur's debut exhibition of drawing and paintings of the human body entitled Exposure. The artist says: 'The way we observe things around us and our reaction to it is very personal. We look at our world in a unique way and our experience causes us to respond differently. My reaction is often to visually record the subject.' McArthur says he is inspired by the human body. 'The light sculpting muscles, the contour lines of the limbs all represent beauty in form.' Check out how he captures this fascination at Studio 8, 8B Kamcourt Building, 60-62 Bonham Strand East, Sheung Wan. By appointment. Tel: 2540 6267. Until July 12.

Down on the farm: Mainland artist Nie Ou's exhibition, Unforgettable, has proved true to its name and is attracting much attention. The collection of 50 ink on paper works are inspired by the artist's life during the Cultural Revolution when she was sent to work on a farm in Shanxi province. The simple pleasures of rural life permeate her drawings. You can check them out at the Yan Gallery, 77 Wyndham Street, Central. Tel: 2139 2345. To find out more about the artist visit www.yangallery.com. Until August 10.

Purr-fect pictures: This one's for cat lovers, we fools who do almost anything for our feline friends - who tend to just snub us regardless. A group of like minds have spent a month taking digital images of the creatures in an attempt to capture their many attributes. The Cat Store (2A, Hyde Park Mansion, No.53, Paterson St, Causeway Bay. Inquiries: 2710 9953.

Not so ordinary: Canadian photographer Richard Wright captures the charm of Asia in detail in his A Life Less Ordinary exhibition (left). Fringe Club, Economist Gallery, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central. Monday to July 16. Inquiries: 2521 7251.
