Lo Down is happy to report that radio talk-show host Albert Cheng King-hon (right) has accepted our advice and promised never to compare government officials to dogs again. Don't worry, the airwaves' most in-your-face personality isn't giving in to the Broadcasting Authority, which has reprimanded him for calling one government bureaucrat 'a dog-like official' and telling another to quit in April.
Rather a few weeks ago, your humble columnist suggested in this space that such canine comparisons were most unfair to the other species. In an interview with the Toronto Star this week, Cheng has admitted the error of his way.
The Canadian paper reported that Cheng now considered it 'poor taste to compare a local civil servant to a dog. After all, why malign canines?'
