THE WORLD IS getting smaller, so they say. But for executives who spend more time on the road than at home, it is just as big as it can be, especially when it seems like it takes forever to traverse the globe.

Managing director of United Colors of Benetton in Hong Kong, Diego Menarin, who travels the world for business and for fun, says his Italian nature has enabled him to turn every problem he faces on the road around.

Mr Menarin joined Benetton when he was 30. He spent two years developing the Indian market before coming to Hong Kong. His portfolio involves a lot of start-ups for the brand in the Asian market.
