From work to leisure The new looks by Izumi Ogino for Anteprima (Shop 214, The Lee Gardens, 33 Hysan Avenue, tel 2907 3388) have just arrived, and they stay true to the brand's emphasis on contrast. On work days you may need a spacious Scifuku buffalo-leather bag with many compartments to carry all your necessities - Palm pilot, laptop and documents. Matching shoes will complete the executive look. On sunny Sundays, however, you can go light and easy with a Traforo Vernice bag (sizes: 33cm x 37cm and 23cm x 27cm) with TV screen-like oval perforations. They come in yellow, red, white or black, and matching Cuff-Vernice shoes are available. For touch-ups, there are a series of moonstone necklaces with seashell accents and earrings to match. Beautiful motherhood Having a baby with you does not mean you cannot come to Hysan Avenue to shop. Available from August and throughout autumn and winter, the Nappy Bag by world- acclaimed handbag designer Anya Hindmarch (Shop 208, The Lee Gardens, tel 2828 0128) is a tribute to all those style-conscious and beautiful mothers out there. Decorated with a 1950s print of a nanny and baby posing with their old-fashioned pram in front of the River Seine in Paris, this large tote is equipped with everything needed for taking care of a newborn, such as a baby-changing mat, internal pockets for storing bottles and nappies and a mesh compartment for personal items. Celebrity mothers including Elle Macpherson, Kate Moss, Liz Hurley and Lady Helen Taylor have all been spotted carrying one. Ms Hindmarch has just become a mother, which is why this bag is designed with such personal touches. Body gems Jewellery artist Kim Buck's Eclipse range is designed for Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (Shop B06-07, The Lee Gardens, tel 2724 1510). Rings in white or yellow gold are set with a choice of rubellite, yellow beryl, aquamarine or tourmaline cut in a cabochon shape. The design shows off both the top and underside of the gem, so that it reflects a sensual light on to the skin. Go East To display her perennial passion for the Far East, Anna Molinari, designer for the Italian label Blumarine (Shop 106-107, The Lee Gardens, tel 3107 0261), explores many oriental elements in this season's offerings, ranging from the obi, or sash worn with traditional Japanese dress, to embroidery work. Examples include two pairs of four-inch-heeled satin shoes - one in gold decorated with Chinese embroidery and cast with rhinestones, and another in pink with a white chiffon strap. Young classic To rid itself of its image as a label for mature women, Chanel (Shop G05, The Lee Gardens, tel 2576 0696) has been reinventing a lot of its classic styles to cater to modern tastes. The recently launched lambskin Vintage bag is a case in point. While it looks decidedly Chanel, it also has a smart and modern silhouette that is young and exciting. Elegant and adventurous For men who love style as much as adventure, the new edition of Cartier's Roadster chronograph watch (Shop G09, The Lee Gardens, tel 2522 2296) makes a perfect gift. A combination of power, elegance, performance and pleasure, this timepiece has a white dial, Roman numerals, automatic chronograph movement and three interchangeable straps in steel, brown calfskin and black sailcloth. One with a black dial is also available. Treasure trove A lot of people associate the name of Tiffany & Co (Shop G10-11, The Lee Gardens, tel 2882 9010) only with diamonds and watches. Others know the legendary jeweller has also been a purveyor of precious pearls since the mid-19th century. Exceptional South Sea and Tahitian pearl necklaces with platinum and diamond accents are essential accessories for the simple but elegant look.
