Cars torched in pre-dawn yuen long arson attack
Four second-hand cars worth a total of $150,000 were torched inside a car park in Yuen Long yesterday in a pre-dawn attack. The land the car park stands on belongs to a candidate in village elections that are being held over the next couple of weeks. Police believe the arson could be linked to a similar attack two months ago in which five vehicles and a container office in the same car park were torched. Police are probing whether the attacks are linked to a rival in the polls.
