Play as Bruce Banner and The Hulk as you sneak and smash your way through this epic adventure. Only by controlling the incredible power of the beast within can you destroy the diabolical intentions of The Leader to save the world.

Storyline: The overall purpose of the Hulk game isn't entirely clear. In fact it seems like there isn't any storyline at all. This is barely an adventure - more like an experiment by the creators to see how violent and enraged they could make this comic book character, and how much pleasure users could get from adopting his destructive persona.

Gameplay: Having said that, they've succeeded because it's great fun smashing the hell out of weedy little security guards, and mashing up vicious and monstrous canines.

Graphics: It's not Disney-Pixar or anything, but the way things explode and blood spurts around the place does provide some macabre satisfaction. The way the rabid-with-anger Hulk bounces around like a twinkle-toed little fairy is quite funny too.

Overall: The action sequences are loads of fun, but beyond seeing how you can murder with your bare hands in as many different ways as possible, there isn't much to it. Before spending $150, it might be worth renting this for the weekend first to test your boredom tolerance.

Storyline: Another superhero action game hot on the heels of the latest comic book character film release. It's not the same plot as the film. The game has loads of action sequences and the story isn't much of a priority at all. Basically, Bruce Banner and his hot-headed green alter-ego are trying to retrieve the Gamma Orb from an evil scientist.

Gameplay: There are two types. One is 'stealth' mode where you solve problems by doing some crate pushing and switch flicking as Bruce Banner. But most of the time you are green and muscular, and only care about doing as much damage as possible to your enemies - which there are a lot of, but not many different kinds. As the Hulk, you run from one level to another, smashing through walls, and generally maiming and destroying. The best part is the Hulk rage metre, which fills up as you cause or receive pain, giving the irrational guy some extra oomph.

Graphics:: The gamma dogs (enemies) look evil and nasty, and the Hulk's movement's are as you would expect from a superhero - sort of excessive and dramatic. Environments are mostly indoors, like office buildings, warehouses and laboratories, but they end up looking the same after a while.

Overall: It's fast paced and brutal, and there are loads of levels. But the brawling soon gets to feel repetitive. It's a simple game, worth renting out, but only real Hulk fans should buy it.
