Madam lash You've seen those dramatic falsies that made eyes look like Venus Fly Traps on the Dior runway. The unique creamy formula and extra-large wand applicator aim to thicken and curl the lashes and is now available at Dior counters. New velvet Designer du jour Tom Ford has the ability to turn anything basic into the season's most coveted items. His latest creation is Yves Saint Laurent's Cassandra T-shirt, a snug, fitted baby T that has the YSL signature logo printed in luxurious velvet. The tops, available in cotton ($1,240) and silk ($2,900), come in black, white and brown - but watch this space because more vibrant hues will be making their way in store for the autumn/winter 2003 season. The Cassandra T-shirt is available at Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, The Landmark, Central. Changing times 'Having been asked one time too many by new mothers and having just had a baby myself, I felt it was time to design my own take on the nappy bag,' says designer Anya Hindmarch of her new creation. 'I wanted it to be practical as well as stylish, and this nappy bag has pockets for all the essential baby equipment.' Hindmarch's 1950s-inspired nappy bag comes with a convenient baby-changing mat, internal pockets for storing bottles and nappies as well as a mesh compartment for holding personal items. Celebrity mums such as Elle Macpherson, Kate Moss, Liz Hurley and Lady Helen Taylor have all been spotted toting these bags around town. For those yet to become mothers, the carry-alls look chic enough to pass as gym or beach bags. Anya Hindmarch's Nappy Bag ($4,600) will be available in stores next month. For pity's sake 'Il fait ce qu'il peut, le pauvre,' which translates as 'He does what he can, the poor thing'. Yves Saint Laurent, in his first public comment on the collections by YSL director Tom Ford, Fashion Wire Daily Singing her praises When Marc Jacobs embarked on his quest to find his autumn/winter 2003 Louis Vuitton poster girl he said he wanted someone 'influential, assertive who is also chic and glamorous'. It was surprising to hear Jennifer Lopez was the ultimate answer to Jacob's desire. Shot by British photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the forthcoming campaign features Lopez looking stunningly polished in Vuitton's latest ensembles. 'I think that what you see is not at all what you would expect,' says Jacobs. With the star's image revolving around her Bronx upbringing, you'd have to see the pictures in print to fully comprehend Lopez's versatility (or should I say the talents of her stylists?). The ads will appear in magazines and billboards from August and with the wonders that the Parisian house has worked for La Lopez, it just makes us wish Victoria Beckham would be next in line for a powerhouse campaign.
