Firm gives dividend

THE directors of International Industries have recommended a special dividend of 18 cents a share to make up for the lack of a final dividend for the year to March 31.

The previous board of directors had not recommended a final dividend when company results were released in May because discussions on a change of control were taking place.

The special dividend is now being recommended with Joint Truth's acquisition of 68.3 per cent of the company's shares having been completed.
