Man survives suicide pact that claimed girlfriend A 26-year-old woman was found dead yesterday and her boyfriend was unconscious after they burned charcoal in their flat in Tseung Kwan O. The dead woman's sister went to the flat at Choi Fu House in Choi Ming Court about 4pm after being told she had not been to work for two days. Police said a suicide note written by the couple was found in the flat, saying they were so deeply in debt that they had to die. The man was last night in a stable condition in hospital. Legco member's staff complain of intimidation Sha Tin police said last night that they were investigating a complaint from a member of staff at Legislative Councillor Emily Lau Wai-hing's office at Hok Sum House in Lung Hang Tsuen after someone wrapped a piece of concrete in newspaper and left it hanging outside the door. Leftover food and gravy had also been thrown over the windows. A police spokesman said no threatening note had been left.
