In last week's column, I reported that unemployed Yan Wai-leung was fined $750 after he launched a High Court appeal against a conviction for riding a light rail train without paying.
In fact, he was ordered by the court to pay $750 for the costs following an application by the prosecutor, so it was not a fine.
