The Hang Seng Index gained 336.17 points, or 3.22 per cent, to close the week at 10,760.73.

Dealers expect the momentum to carry into this week's trading, fuelled by growing liquidity from overseas and mainland buyers.

'It is better to enjoy the ride rather than profit-take at this early stage,' said Herbert Lau Cheung-kwan, research head at CASH.
