On top of The Peak

THE way things are going, some people may be inclined to think that the glossy coffee table mag The Peak changes editorship with the same frequency that Frank Sinatra gives farewell concerts.

We now hear that the latest incumbent in the hot seat is Philip Plews, formerly a staff writer on the publication.

Plews, a tireless social animal (which has to be a strong asset in that job) would not confirm the news when I asked him about it at a party earlier this week.

But, in any case, his knowing smile gave it all away.
