Biggest ever Mid-Autumn Mark Six snowball set
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has set a $38 million snowball for Tuesday's Mark Six draw celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is the biggest Mid-Autumn Festival snowball since the draw was first held in 1985. The first prize could be $60 million if there is only one winner.
There was no winner in last night's draw. The numbers were 1, 4, 17, 26, 38 and 44. The extra number was 11. Three tickets won a second prize of $761,495.
Suspect held after heroin worth $2.3m found in flat
Police arrested a suspected drug trafficker and seized $2.3 million worth of heroin during a raid on a Mongkok flat. Officers arrested a 53-year-old man when he came out of the Nathan Road residential building just after 12.30am. Police allegedly found a small amount of heroin on him and a subsequent search inside the flat uncovered 5.5kg of heroin.
Pair jailed for fraud over work in Aberdeen Tunnel
A businessman and a highways official were jailed for their roles in a fraud involving the replacement of damaged asbestos wall panels at the Aberdeen Tunnel. Chan Wing-wah, 34, a Highways Department supervisor, was jailed for two years and four months, and Tang Tak, 51, proprietor of the Lee Tak Company, was handed 21/2 years' jail by District Court Judge Richard Day.
