He brings to the bank more than six years of Taiwan equity sales experience and a raft of strong relationships among the firm's Tier One accounts. Richard Weiner Resident partner Sidley Austin Brown & Wood Also joining Mr Weiner as a resident partner in the law firm's Brussels office is Laurent Ruessmann. Both have broad experience in trade, regulatory and transactional matters involving European and multinational clients. Irene Chow Sales director for Asia- Pacific private banking (excluding Japan) Janus Capital Group Based in Hong Kong, Ms Chow will further develop distribution channels among Asia-Pacific's private banks for the firm's funds. She has more than 11 years' regional experience in the investment industry with Citigroup, where she was a portfolio manager specialising in equity investment in North Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. Simon Harding Director and head of transaction management Crosby Based in Hong Kong, Mr Harding oversees the firm's investment banking transactions, with a focus on deals in Greater China. He has more than 13 years of investment banking and securities regulatory experience. David Craig Head of international division Macquarie Funds Management Mr Craig oversees the firm's three joint ventures in Malaysia, South Korea and Taiwan. He succeeds Ben Bruck, who was named head of the Macquarie Funds Management Group. Mr Craig will move to Sydney from Seoul. Graham Matthews Partner, corporate finance and recovery, Shanghai Pricewaterhouse- Coopers Mr Matthews specialises in commercial and financial due diligence for multinational clients in China and for mainland companies investing overseas, particularly in the consumer goods and car areas. Rupert Li Lateral partner Morrison & Foerster Mr Li has extensive experience in mainland- related securities, merger and acquisition, finance, property development and foreign direct investment work. He spent many years of his career advising mainland state-owned enterprises and Shanghai-based companies. Mr Li is based in Hong Kong. Atul Bhardwaj Associate partner Accenture Mr Bhardwaj is a specialist in the retail industry with more than 14 years of global experience. He has been based in Hong Kong for the past three years. Elizabeth Wilson Managing director Bondholder Communications Group Ms Wilson has opened the Hong Kong office of the firm, which is a New York-based investor communications service. She was previously an in-house counsel with UBS Warburg and an associate with White & Case in New York. Ms Wilson has 12 years' legal experience, specialising in corporate reorganisation, corporate trust and debt capital markets. Richard Yorke Head of trade services for Asia-Pacific HSBC Mr Yorke is responsible for the bank's trade services operations throughout the region. He has 10 years' experience in corporate banking and trade finance. Mr Yorke has worked for the bank for more than 13 years. He takes over from Alan Wilkinson, who retired last month after being with the bank for 32 years. Campbell Tupling Chief operating officer - Asia The Principal International (Asia) Mr Tupling moved to Hong Kong last month to join the firm, where he will work with the managing directors of other member countries to enhance the business profile in Asia. He has served as vice-president of international business development. He joined from American International Group. Lloyd Bryce Partner, assurance and business advisory services, Hong Kong Pricewaterhouse- Coopers As part of the financial services practice, Mr Bryce specialises in the insurance, banking and capital markets sectors. He is also experienced in international financial reporting standards and other advisory services for complex financial instruments. James Wang Head of research Taiwan ABN Amro Mr Wang joined from Merrill Lynch, where he was recognised for his work on the regional steel sector. He now specialises in the electronic components sector. Mr Wang will report to Michael Baptista, regional head of research. Maggie Wu Partner, audit and risk advisory services KPMG Beijing Ms Wu joined the firm in 1992. She has extensive experience in auditing state-owned listed firms and foreign-invested companies in the mainland. She also has in-depth knowledge of the information and telecommunications sectors.
