No-confidence motion
I refer to the article 'Sonia Gandhi attacks India's 'corrupt' BJP' (August 19).
The article was eye-catching due to its headline. Also, I note that the South China Morning Post failed to follow up with the results of the no-confidence motion, or reporting of the speech of the prime minister of India, in subsequent days.
Parliamentary debates in India are part of the democratic process of which we are proud. The media in India cover the speeches and debates quite aggressively.
However, where they (and most of the international media) differed from your newspaper on this occasion was that almost everyone carried the story to its conclusion.
