Man held over stabbing incident in north point

A 26-year-old man was arrested after a knife attack in North Point early yesterday. Two men were seriously wounded after they were attacked by four men outside a hotel in City Garden Road. Police said two men, aged 27 and 37, were found bleeding from their wounds shortly after 3.40am. Police were sent to the scene following a report that someone had been shot.The victims said they had left a bar where they had been drinking when they were attacked.

four rescued off shek o after canoe capsizes

Three canoeists were airlifted to Eastern Hospital and another fished out of the water by firemen after their canoe capsized off Shek O beach. The four, including a teenage girl, were taking part in a competition organised by the Hong Kong Canoe Union. They set out from Causeway Bay heading for Stanley, but at about noon, their canoe capsized because of strong wind and heavy rain.

funeral for pilot who crashed on lantau

A funeral service with full honours will be held at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hunghom tomorrow for Government Flying Services pilot Pang Fu-kwok, who died when his helicopter crashed into a mountainside on Lantau last month. He will be buried at Gallant Garden. Crewman Chan Man-tik, who died during the same mission, was buried at the garden on September 5. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
