Trio arrested in tst over $30m theft case
Two women and a man have been arrested by Commercial Crime Bureau officers in connection with a theft case involving $30 million. The trio, including a couple who are United States citizens, were arrested at the Peninsula Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui East on Monday and were released on bail yesterday pending further investigations.
Man, 69, in custody after wife is murdered
A 69-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife in a heated argument in their Aberdeen home yesterday. The suspect telephoned police after allegedly cutting his wife's throat with a knife in their Wah Oi House unit in Wah Kwai Estate just before noon. The man was being held for questioning.
Gambling raid nets 36
Police arrested 28 men and eight women and seized $18,000 from a gambling den during an operation in Mongkok early yesterday. All 36 people were being questioned.
