JobsDB.com is holding Asia's first virtual job fair this month, targeting middle and senior management, via a temporary website running until September 28. Anna Wong, executive director of JobsDB Holdings, said: 'The fair offers people a more private alternative ... and gives jobseekers a more specialised place to job-hunt.' Ms Wong believes that the Asian job market is picking up, with Hong Kong and China leading the rest of the region. 'After Sars, business has picked up, with more and more mid-sized companies expanding. We see the job market gradually approaching recovery by the beginning of 2004.' And the numbers speak for themselves: on its first day, according to Ms Wong, JobsDB Asia Virtual Job Fair recorded 142,000 users who each stayed logged on for at least 20 minutes.
