Pentax Optio 33WR: Unlike the fun U60 or and the underwater Che-ez! H2O, the Optio 33WR, isn't really meant to operate underwater, but you can still rinse it under the tap if you happen to drop it in the sand. The Optio 33WR does bring you closer to land objects though, with a 2.8x optical zoom lens, and offers pretty good 3.2-megapixel image resolution. Expect the Optio 33WR to hit stores around Xmas. (Price: to be determined)
Scanjet 4670: HP has been a major seller of printers and scanners for years now, but the Scanjet 4670 is arguably its most impressive product to date. The Scanjet 4670 turns the term 'flat-bed' scanner on its side, literally. The Scanjet 4670 is designed to sit on its side like a half-open book - and it even looks like one. Oh, it also scans documents at 2,400 dpi. US-based HP officials say the 4670 will be out in November. (Price: about US$250)
Philips Key007: The model number is an obvious reference to the international swashbuckler named Bond, and the Key007 (as in key ring) digital camera will surely get you notice in the crowd like a nice crisp tuxedo. Then again, the 1.3-megapixel Key007 has no zoom or LCD viewer. So while you take photos everywhere, you won't see the results until you plug it into a USB slot on a computer. Comes with 64MB of memory. (Price: about $1,000)
