More than a month after the global launch of its 'enjoy more' campaign, Hewlett-Packard continues to pad its portfolio of consumer-friendly digital imaging products. HP has released in Hong Kong a range of new printers, led by its Photosmart 7960 and 245.
HP said this revitalised products push was intended to cut through the complexity of technology and make it easier for consumers 'to connect, discover, entertain and get more things done'. That is exactly what its new studio photo printers will accomplish for home users.
The Photosmart 7960 photo printer delivers eight-ink, 4,800 optimised dots-per-inch (dpi) printing to achieve studio-quality colour prints when printing from a computer and using premium photo paper. This is particularly so when used in conjunction with the new HP 59 grey photo inkjet print cartridge, the HP 58 photo cartridge and the HP 57 tri-colour cartridge.
Add HP's Colourfast Glossy Photo Paper to this setup and the 7960 is capable of delivering prints with exceptional fade resistance, up to twice as long as traditionally processed photos. The HP 59 grey photo inkjet print cartridge is said to improve contrast and shadow detail in colour photos and achieve the neutral greys and deep blacks desired for black-and-white photos.
For easy viewing, editing and printing of digital photos, the 7960 printer features a colour 2.5-inch image liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and digital camera memory card slots which support an extensive range of cards. The printer can produce borderless prints, up to A4 in size.
