After my sister in Britain told me that many of her e-mails to me and to my brother, both of us being on HKNet, kept bouncing back to her, I complained to HKNet Tech Support.
This was the response from HKNet:
'The mail server was blocked on August 5 due to massive junk mails. It has been requested to be released on August 28.'
The request was probably made by my sister.
HKNet says: 'These junk mails may be sent by other users who are using the same SMTP server from the same ISP as your sister. To maintain the service of our mail servers, HKNet reserved the rights to block any malicious SMTP relay.'
Now that is all very well. But what about our consumer rights? Also, while HKNet may have the right to do this, it also presupposes it has responsibilities, doesn't it?
