A fund-raising gala will be held on October 3 to celebrate the Hong Kong Philharmonic's 30th anniversary season. VIP packages, including prime-seat tickets for that evening's concert and a post-concert dinner at the InterContinental Hong Kong, are available.

'We are delighted to sponsor the Hong Kong Philharmonic's gala fund-raising cocktail reception and dinner, which will be held in our newly renovated ballroom,' says Jennifer Fox, managing director, InterContinental Hong Kong.

'This high-profile event is a wonderful way for us to showcase our new ballroom to patrons of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, while supporting their outstanding programmes and work.'

There will be at least 40 tables at the dinner. The sponsors include Ryoden (Holdings), Sun Wah Group, Celestial Asia Securities Holdings, Chevalier Group, CLP Power Hong Kong, Citigroup Private Bank, Friends of Hong Kong Association, Hang Lung Properties, Hang Seng Bank, Hong Kong Culture Association, Hsin Chong International Holdings, Hysan Development, Wharf Holdings, Wing Hang Bank and the Ladies Committee of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society.

'To be an international city, Hong Kong should focus not only on economic achievements but also establish itself as a meeting point of eastern and western cultures,' says Herman Hu, executive director of Ryoden (Holdings), one of the event's key sponsors.
