It was the zen of colour co-ordination at the Shanghai Tang autumn/winter line show and those in the know came in splashes of rouge. There was Sandra D'Auriol, designer Ranee K, stylist Louise Kou and socialite Chitra Chellaram. V-Nee Yeh came just to support his wife, Mira, as did Archie for VIP guest Anson Chan Fang On-sang. Cinematographer Christopher Doyle, usually fashion-unconscious, easily had the most distinct look of the evening, covered in an orange Drizabone jacket. When introduced to attending guest Bianca Brown, who spoke of her Adelaide origins, Doyle chipped in: 'Don't worry, no one's perfect.' What a charmer. While most tapped their foot to the hypnotic Moroccan beats during the collection, Doyle, as always, had a different perspective: 'The music was bloody loud - I've got such a headache. But the clothes were nice. I liked the tied around the waist thing.' The ties were actually rich appliques of brocade, leather and ribbon on denim, informed Josephine Lee from Shanghai Tang.
