Indonesia's Ani Iman fired a two-under-par final round 71 to claim the 28th Hong Kong Ladies Open Amateur and her first overseas victory on the New Course at Fanling. The 30-year-old from Jakarta led from start to finish at the Hong Kong Golf Club, shooting a level-par 219 to finish eight shots clear of Hong Kong's Eva Yoe Hoi-ning.
'I've been waiting for this. I've just almost won, almost won, almost won and now, finally I've won. It's always been in my prayers,' said Iman, who has two team gold medals from the SEA Games, has twice taken silvers in the individual competition and last month added another second-placed finish in the Indonesian Amateur Open.
'I was praying all the time because leading can make you very nervous. I just took two years off golf because I had to work and I have only been practising since June. I love this country now.'
