Find all you need to dress your little darlings in Hong Kong's many designer children's stores

Ah Chi Co (G/F, 38 Eastern Street, Sai Ying Pun, 2559 6730)

Stocks clothing for children from newborn to six years and baby accessories, including feeding bottles, sterilisers, cribs and strollers. Shoes for children up to three years are stocked, but no fitting service is offered. Products are much cheaper than  at other outlets.

Outdoor clothing for rainy days and sun protective clothing for the pool.  The swimwear  is imported from Australia and has an ultraviolet protective  factor (UPF) of 50-plus. The range caters for  young babies to children up to 12 years. A toddler's swimsuit  costs  $200 and larger suits are  $260.

Buckle My Shoe (Level 1, Pacific Place, Seibu, Admiralty, 2971 3888)

Brand-name shoes for little feet. The outlet stocks DKNY, Moschino and its own label shoes for children from six months to 14 years.  Fitting service offered.

Chickeeduck (20 outlets, 2541 8330 for your nearest store)  Casual clothing to fit children from newborn babies up to age 14, and shoes for children from about the age of two. A T-shirt for a baby costs from $149, a pair of shoes from $199.

Dimples Babieswear (at selected locations: House F, Billows Villa, Hang Hau Wing Lung Road, Clearwater Bay; 11/F Yee Mat Mansions, Min Fat Street, Happy Valley; Bumps to Babes Central and Ap Lei Chau; 9040 3149)

Classic shapes with hand-embroidered, or print designs, for babies up to 18 months, in premature babies.  The range includes socks ($70), bodysuits ($200), matinee jackets ($200) and wraps ($210).

Footstop (Shop 10C, Coda Plaza, 51 Garden Road, Mid-Levels, 2869 7922)

Emphasis is on a professional shoe-fitting service, which measures the width and  length of feet. All fitters are trained by a chiropodist. The store  carries soft shoes for toddlers and well-known brands, including Start-Rite for school-age children.

Honey B (shop 903, Times Square, Causeway Bay, 2506 0913)

Mostly furniture and accessories but it  also stocks shoes for babies up to two years.

Jacadi Paris (from November, shop 328-9 Prince's Building, Central, 2167 8339; shop 165, Deck 1, Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui, 2730 7226; shop 905B, Times Square, Causeway Bay, 2506 0099)

Stocks clothing for children from zero  to 12 years (prices begin at $100 for  newborn items) and shoes for those aged  six and up.  A shoe fitting service is available.

MamaBebe Baby Outlet (unit B2, 9/F Camel Paint Building, Block 3, 60 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, 2950 4110)

Specialises in clothes, including designer brands, mostly for children up to the age of two, although it has  stock for the three-to-eight age range.  According to the outlet, its prices are about a third cheaper than the retail price.

Mubaby (only available via internet, www.mubaby.com)

Set up by two sisters, one based in Hong Kong who could not find suitable clothes for her baby. Mubaby focuses on casual 'surfer chic' clothing for children between six months and four years.  The collection consists mostly of T-shirts (from $70).

Shoe Box (six outlets in Kowloon and one on Hong Kong Island, call 2856 9345)

Stocks sports and casual shoes for children from eight months to 10 years and has a  fitting service. Casual shoes  ($250 to $600) are imported from Europe, sports shoes  ($250 to $400) are sourced in Asia.

Toonsland (outlets across  Hong Kong, 2369 8797)

Shirts, jackets, sweaters,  trousers and dresses for children up to 12 years.  Prices from  $76 for a sweatshirt, $119 for a dress.

Total Eclipse (stock available from some outlets and clubs, 2358 0245)

Stocks Solarsuit clothing and swimwear from Australia. Solarsuit uses a fabric unique to the  chloresist brand which resists the eroding effects of sun, chlorine and washing detergents. It also has  a UPF of 50-plus  which is the highest available according to Australian standards.  Sizes cater to newborns up to adults and cost between $250 and $330.
