HHP
The handheld device developer has recruited Ynjiun Wang as vice-president of advanced technology development. Focusing on technology, business development and intellectual property, he will work on future technologies, as well as forming partnerships with suppliers and customers.
Mr Wang will be based near San Francisco. He joins HHP from wireless developer eSignX, where he was founder and president and remains on the wireless solutions platform provider board as an adviser.
Before joining eSignX, Mr Wang worked at Trident Microsystems as the director of advanced technology from 1996 to January 2000. He also founded Metanetics in 1993, which was later acquired by information systems manufacturer Telxon.
Mr Wang earned a PhD in 1989 and an MSc in 1987, both in computer science, from State University of New York. He earned his BSc in information science in 1984 from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.
