Lau Chee-boon, 24, pleaded guilty to robbery and Hui Kam-ming, 20, admitted handling the goods stolen from Multi-Model Services, an air freight forwarding company.

Lau and two other men raided the company's Ho Man Tin warehouse where the goods were stored and took the phones and uniforms to a van driven by Hui on May 1, 1992.

Passing sentence yesterday, Deputy Judge Pang said one of the robbers had already been sentenced to four years in jail, a sentence Deputy Judge Pang regarded as lenient. But to avoid disparity he said he would pass the same sentence.

He also sentenced Hui to four years for handling, noting most of the stolen property was recovered.

The judge said both defendants had clear records and had expressed remorse.
