In the Holocene

SCIENTISTS often refer to the time that we are living in, and about the last 10,000 years, as the Holocene Epoch.

This is the time since the great glaciers moved away from the continents.

The Holocene Epoch is when modern human culture developed. It includes the Stone Age, and is part of the huge span of time called the Cenozoic Era.
