There is all to race for with just a few points separating the leading teams going into today's Division Three (Hong Kong) finals of the 2003/04 Inter-School Swimming Championships at Kowloon Park pool. In the girls' competition, Sacred Heart Canossian College lead the way with 34 points, followed by St Clare's Girls' School (33), while among the boys TWGHS Lee Ching DEA Memorial College (29 points) have the edge over SWCS Chan Pak Sha School (28). SKH Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School (SKHTSK) boys are contenders for the overall title once again. They are joint third on 26 points. SKHTSK won both the Grade A and B titles last year, but were edged out for the overall prize and promotion by German Swiss International School (GSIS). Ying Wa Girls' School are often among the medals in all sports. They are third on 32 points, followed by St Stephen's College on 29. Relay swimmers will need to be at their best early in the day as both the 4x50 metre freestyle and medley race heats start at 10am. Qualification is crucial for those with title aspirations, as the end-of-the-day relay finals, where many a title has been won or lost, are worth double. Look out for a report and pictures in next Wednesday's Young Post.
