A MONTH after Fairwood Holdings posted lower-than-expected results, John Sham Yuen-pang has announced his resignation as executive director and director of sales and operations with effect from December 1.
Managing director Dennis Lo Hei-yeung will temporarily take over Mr Sham's duties.
Mr Sham joined Fairwood in 1986 after working with San Remo, one of Australia's largest food manufacturers.
Last month, Fairwood announced profits for the year ended March 31 rose 21.1 per cent to $70.3 million.
The results were sharply below the expectations of analysts, who were looking for a 41 per cent increase.
The discrepancy was primarily due to a $5 million loss posted by Fairwood's Thousand Island Food Plaza operation and higher rental costs.
