A government spokeswoman said the three male survivors suffered only minor injuries.
A Hospital Authority spokesman said the Northern District Hospital had accepted one of the survivors, who had been discharged.
The crash, on the busy Shenzhen-Shantou freeway, came a day after a similar accident that killed a Hong Kong resident on the Lufeng section of the expressway.
Friday's accident happened when the driver of a five-tonne truck travelling in the opposite direction ran out of control after a tyre blowout.
