A 'summer Santa' promotion came to Hong Kong yesterday in the form of a floating island in Victoria Harbour. The island, atop a 26-metre barge, featured bikini-clad mannequins, palm trees and a beach made of 20 tonnes of sand. 'We know Santa Claus is associated with snow, but people associate travel and vacations with sun and sand,' said a spokesman for online travel agency Zuji, which sponsored the promotion. The floating island was towed near the Convention and Exhibition Centre. Meanwhile, husky dogs bounded among models dressed as Santa Claus and snowmen in Golden Bauhinia Square.
