PEARL Glorious Investment has expanded its presence in China's hotel industry by winning a management contract in Xian.
Group subsidiary Pearl International Hotels is to manage the former Xian Holiday Inn hotel for 10 years for Shaanxi International Trust and Investment Corp (SITIC).
Lee Kwok-kin, director of Pearl International Hotels, said the 380-room property would be re-named the Sino Pearl Hotel.
He said SITIC and Pearl International planned to renovate the hotel and develop more recreational and support facilities.
Pearl Glorious Investment was particularly active in Hong Kong's hotel and property sectors in the first half of the year.
The group formed consortiums to buy the China Harbour View Hotel for $620 million in May and the 280-room Pearl International Seaview Hotel for $420 million in June.
