Fusion restaurant Aqua is packing up from Lyndhurst Terrace and moving to One Peking Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.
At first glance, it might seem that the restaurant once voted 'Hong Kong's Best Restaurant' by Conde Nast Traveler magazine is being forced to retreat from stiff competition. But on closer examination, it seems it is spreading its wings.
Aqua's managing director and designer, David Yeo, is moving shop to a 9,000 sqft penthouse with a panoramic six-metre floor-to-ceiling glass curtain overlooking the harbour. There will be two choices in food, Aqua Roma and Aqua Tokyo.
The bar, known as Aqua Spirit, will have an atmosphere and view to die for. Consultant Franck Crouvezier says: 'It is going to be high, high class. The food, the decor, is going to be amazing. It will be one of the few top-notch places to dine in TST, along with Spoon, of course.' The new Aqua will open on December 2.
