We aren't that keen on wash cloths for the face. They remind us of the horrible handkerchiefs old men use - they blow their nose and then put them in their pocket. Ugggh! Why not just use a tissue and then throw it away? It's much more hygienic. And the same goes for face cloths - if you want to wash your face, why not use cleanser and wipe it off with a tissue or cotton wool? But wash cloths for the body are good, mainly because they help you exfoliate and keep your skin looking healthy. Aveda Shammy Cloth ($110) This is a quality face cloth, super-soft when wet. Dermalogica Sponge Cloth ($260) Yes, this is gentle on the skin, but it was far too big and clumsy to use. It is very hard when it dries and looks weird. It's so expensive! Dermalogica Ultimate Buffing Cloth ($260) This is great for removing rough, dull skin especially in hard-to-reach places like your back. Lather up the cloth and focus on dry skin areas. Beauty Formulas four soft sponges ($8) These are cheap enough to be able to use one a week, so you don't risk a bacterial build-up on the cloth.
