Amped 2 allows you to become a world-famous freestyle snowboarding legend. Challenge the best in the world, or just ride with friends. Tester 01 Name: Flo Age: 20 Console: xbox-live Gameplay: The controls are fairly easy to pick up and you learn very quickly how to do grabs and spins. Performing more flips and grabs is not going to get you as many points as performing a single flip with more style. A stylish trick is harder to pull off than a double flip. You can choose between career, free ride, multiplayer and of course the new online modes. Graphics: Very good looking and decent character models with sharp textures. Where the game shines is the sheer scope of the mountains. Looking into the distance you can see for miles and miles without even a hint of fogging or draw-in. The texture of the snow and track objects looks good. Impressive indeed. Overall: I like this game, the graphics are great. You really feel you are in the snow and surrounded by this amazing scenery. It demands a lot of skill and the course design offers variety, which makes the game even more fun. I enjoyed playing it. Tester 02 Name: Steph Age: 22 Console: xbox-live Gameplay: The new online modes make the game interesting. You have your typical online options (downloads, friends) and you can play with up to eight players. There is a new snow-skate mode, where your board is free and you need to make sure you grab when in the air. It tests different skills. Graphics: Excellent graphics. It just lets you enjoy the game a lot more because it seems so real. The snow, the tracks and even the trees and fog look good. The characters are fun and you can even ride as a pro and choose your favourite boarder. Overall: I enjoyed playing a game with excellent graphics and where a little more skill is required to make the game more challenging. The music could be improved, but that isn't a big deal. I think it's a good game, and if you liked Amped 1 then you will like this.
