A British man was found dead with cuts to his neck and a pillow over his face in his Yuen Long home yesterday. A manhunt was launched after Gordon Hutchings, 73, was discovered by his 36-year-old friend, a Hong Kong resident, in their three-storey house in Kam Hing Wai, Chi Ho Road, at 2.30pm. A pair of scissors, which police believe was the murder weapon, was found in the ground-floor bedroom. A police spokesman said a quilt was covering the body and there was a pillow over his face. A preliminary investigation revealed wounds to the man's body and blood in the bedroom, he said. There were signs that the house had been ransacked and police are still determining if anything was stolen. They said the victim had last been seen alive in the house when his flatmate left at about 7.30am on Friday.
