Soccer matches, fun days, scavenger hunts, golf tournaments. You name it, fundraisers are planning it in aid of Operation Santa Claus. With just one day to go before the appeal kicks off, Santa's diary is already filling up with fundraising events to help this year's 12 beneficiaries. The events include a chance to meet a robot mascot at the Sony Fair in Times Square from Friday, a Carnival Fun Day at The Forum, Exchange Square, on December 5, and a pancake breakfast by pupils and staff at the Korean International School on December 12. Soccer fans from some of Hong Kong's biggest firms will be taking to the field at Stanley Fort on December 14 for their sixth annual five-a-side tournament. The appeal will be officially launched tomorrow evening by patron Betty Tung Chiu Hung-ping, the wife of Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa, at a special ceremony at Government House.
