Product: Viewsonic Pocket PC V36 Price: $2,280 Pros: Good screen Cons: No Bluetooth and hardly any bundled software, making it hard to compete against Pocket PC market leader Hewlett-Packard
The Viewsonic Pocket PC V36 is a plain-looking PDA, but its main attraction is the 3.5-inch high-resolution screen capable of producing rich colours and vivid images.
It is equipped with an Intel 300-megahertz XScale processor, 64 megabytes of Ram and 32MB of Rom.
It has only one expansion slot for secure digital cards and, apart from a standard infrared port, no other connectivity features are available.
Weighing in at 137 grams, the V36 is one of the lightest and smallest pocket PCs available and, for the price of $2,280, you get very few frills.
It has a 0.3-megapixel camera on the back of the unit and the directional pad on the front doubles as a shutter button when the unit is in camera mode. The camera takes digital photos in two resolutions: 320x240 or 640x480 pixels.
